Keynote Speaker

Laura Matz, Merck KGaA

Dr. Laura Matz is the Chief Science and Technology Officer at Merck KGaA, where she drives innovation and digitalization across Life Sciences, Healthcare, and Electronics.

As Executive Vice President, she oversees corporate innovation teams, including new business models. Until early 2025, Laura was also the CEO of Athinia®, a data-sharing platform that enables secure data sharing within the semiconductor ecosystem. Prior to this, she was a Senior Vice President at EMD Electronics (formerly Versum Materials and Air Products Electronics division). She has been a key contributor to semiconductor materials growth, driving strong R&D to enable business success.
